The United States kick off action in their preliminary CONCACAF group (Group A) for World Cup qualification, consisting of Antigua and Barbuda, Guatemala, and Jamaica on June 8th.

The U.S. is unsurprisingly a favorite to move on as group winners, with Guatemala or Jamaica likely to take up the runner-up spot from Group A.

Group B consists of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guyana, and Mexico; while Group C is comprised of Canada, Cuba, Honduras and Panama.

Six teams, a group winner and a runner-up, will move on from each group.

The six that are most likely and rather expected to move on are boldened.

Nevertheless, Jamaica, Canada, or El Salvador could surprise.

A big surprise is Trinidad and Tobago is already out of the running.

U.S.A's Summer Qualifying Schedule:
Antigua and Barbuda @ United States - June 8th
United States @ Guatemala - June 12th
United States @ Jamaica - September 7th
Jamaica @ United States - September 11th
United States @ Antigua and Barbuda - October 12th
Guatemala @ United States - October 16th

The United States, under Klinsmann, should be able to receive a better picture of their starting eleven after so many games, in such a short period of time.

The U.S. will attempt to set their lineup for June 8th with high caliber friendlies against Scotland on May 26th in Jacksonville (On NBC Sports Network) and against Brazil on May 30th in Washington, D.C. at Fed Ex Field (On ESPN2).
